MUSICAL THEATER FOR PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN

Students will learn about all three aspects of musical theatre - singing, acting and dancing! The class will include songs and dances, and students will learn acting skills through theatre games and improv exercises. There will be a showcase for family and friends on the final week.

AGES: ages 7-12
DATES: Thursdays, Oct. 7-Nov. 11, 2010

FEE: $90.00 per student
Learn Broadway songs, musical theatre dance/choreography and work on acting selections in a fun and non-competitive environment. Students will work on age-appropriate monologues and/or poems to use in audition settings, and will learn about auditioning techniques. There will be a showcase for family and friends on the final week.

| THE ART OF AN ACTOR |
AGES: grades 6-9
DATES: Tuesdays, Oct. 5-Nov. 9, 2010
TIME: 7:00-8:30pm
INSTRUCTOR: DUSTEN WELCH
FEE: $90.00 per student
This class will teach students to understand and correctly apply the acting techniques necessary for character development and improvisational performance as students prepare for a collaborative showcase of their work at the end of the course.

A special Musical Theatre class just for homeschoolers! Class will be held during the day and will focus on singing, dancing and acting skills. Learn Broadway songs, musical theatre dance/choreography and work on acting selections in a fun and non-competitive environment. We will also practice acting skills by using theater games/improv exercises! There will be a showcase for family and friends on the final week.
